Terms of Use

Fimbi is provided free of charge. Every feature is included. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases. We may add, change, or remove features in future versions.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal use. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it except where that restriction is prohibited by law; or remove any copyright or ownership notices.

Fimbi has no accounts, no sign-up, and no server. Everything you enter is stored in a local database on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. This means:

• You are responsible for your own data. We hold no copy of it and cannot recover it for you.
• Uninstalling the app deletes your data permanently. So can clearing the app’s storage, losing the device, or a device fault.
• Keep your own backups. The app can export a JSON backup and CSV files. Where you store or send those files, and who can read them, is entirely your choice and your responsibility.

Bill and loan reminders are scheduled locally by your device’s operating system. Android and iOS may delay, batch, or suppress notifications for reasons outside our control — battery saving, “doze” mode, force-stopping the app, revoked notification permission, or changing the device clock or time zone.

Do not rely on Fimbi’s reminders as your only means of paying a bill or collecting a debt on time. We are not responsible for late fees, penalties, interest, or any other loss arising from a reminder that did not arrive or arrived late.

Fimbi records numbers you type in and performs arithmetic on them. Budgets, charts, insights, reports, and totals are informational only and are not financial, investment, accounting, legal, or tax advice. Figures depend entirely on the accuracy and completeness of what you enter. Verify anything important against your bank, biller, or a qualified professional before acting on it.

The Loans feature is a private record of money you have personally lent or borrowed. Fimbi is not a lender, broker, collection agency, or financial institution: it does not originate, service, guarantee, transfer, or enforce any loan, and it moves no money. A loan entry is a note to yourself and has no legal effect between you and any other person.

If you record another person’s name, phone number, or address against a loan, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so and for handling their details appropriately — including in any backup or CSV export you create and share. That information stays on your device unless you export it yourself.

You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose, and not to use it to store data you are not entitled to hold. You must be at least 13 years old to use Fimbi.

The app, its name, logo, design, and code are owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. These terms grant you no rights to our trade marks or branding. The financial records you create in the app are yours.

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or that defects will be corrected.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, nor for any loss of data, profits, savings, or goodwill, arising out of or connected with your use of the app — including data loss, missed reminders, or reliance on figures the app displays. Because the app is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of sections 9 and 10 may not apply to you.

You obtain the app through the Google Play Store, and your use is also subject to Google Play’s own terms. We are not affiliated with Google, and Google is not a party to these terms or responsible for the app.

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. These terms end when you do. Sections 8 to 10 survive termination.

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
